The primary challenge in this project revolved around achieving visual consistency while preserving the raw emotional tone of the story. The footage, captured on an iPhone 12 in the harsh desert environment of Egypt, presented significant challenges due to color inconsistencies and unforgiving lighting conditions. These issues required a careful, technical approach to ensure the final product delivered the intended emotional impact without losing its authenticity.

Additionally, the creative demands from both the director Edgar Esteves and artist Carly Gibert emphasized the need for a cohesive visual narrative. This required close collaboration and a deep understanding of their artistic vision, which shaped the entire color grading process.

Collaborating to Build a Clear Vision

Before diving into the technical process, it was essential to align with the creative vision of both the director and the artist.
