Adobe Firefly Integration with Frame.io

Frame.io has introduced a seamless integration with Adobe Firefly, enabling users to access assets within Firefly's Text-to-Image and Text-to-Video tools. This update allows users to browse, open, and save Frame.io assets directly without switching platforms. Shared permissions are maintained across both tools, ensuring a cohesive experience. This integration is particularly beneficial for creatives who frequently utilize Firefly's generative AI capabilities as it significantly enhances their production workflows.

Zero-Click Sign-In for Premiere Pro

The new zero-click sign-in feature for Premiere Pro simplifies the login process for eligible Creative Cloud users. When opening the Frame.io panel within Premiere, users are now automatically signed in, eliminating the need for repeated authentication. This feature is currently available in Premiere Beta and will be included in the Premiere 23.6 General Availability release. This streamlined approach reduces friction and saves valuable time during post-production sessions.

Japanese Language Support

Frame.io has expanded its accessibility by introducing support for the Japanese language. Users can now set Japanese as their preferred language and utilize native Input Method Editors (IME) for text input on both web and iOS platforms. Additionally, reviewers using browsers set to Japanese will see a fully localized review and comment interface. This update marks a significant step toward making Frame.io a more global-friendly tool, offering localized experiences across all plans.

Python SDK Enhancements

The update to the Python SDK simplifies complex development processes by automating tasks such as large file uploads, parallelization, and retries. Developers no longer need to write custom code for these functions. Observable progress can now be monitored via Python logging, making the SDK more efficient for handling high-volume workflows. This update reflects Frame.io's commitment to improving developer usability and operational efficiency.

TypeScript SDK Updates

The TypeScript SDK has been upgraded to include a built-in OAuth 2.0 module, covering the full Adobe IMS authentication lifecycle. It supports four authentication flows: Server-to-Server, Web App SPA PKCE, and Native App PKCE. The SDK operates with zero runtime dependencies and is compatible with Node.js 18 as well as browser environments. This enhancement simplifies authentication processes for developers building with TypeScript and ensures compatibility across diverse deployment scenarios.
