Introduction to the Nanlux Evoke 5C Spotlight

The Nanlux Evoke 5C is a compact yet powerful full-color LED spotlight designed to meet a wide range of professional lighting needs. At the heart of the Evoke 5C is the Nebula C8 eight-color engine, which integrates deep red, amber, lime, cyan, and indigo LEDs. This allows the fixture to achieve an impressive CCT range of 1000K to 20,000K, complete with a ±200 green-magenta adjustment capability. The result is an exceptional CRI/TLCI score of 98/98 and a TM-30 Rf/Rg score of 96/100, ensuring accurate and vibrant color reproduction.

Physical Design and Build Quality

The Evoke 5C is engineered with portability and durability in mind. It measures 56 x 44 x 45 cm (22 x 17.3 x 17.7 in) and weighs a mere 1.60 kg (5.64 oz), making it ideal for mobile production setups. The metal housing is IP67-rated, ensuring resistance to dust and water immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. For more extreme conditions, an optional IP68 underwater housing is available, allowing operation at depths of up to 30 meters (98.4 ft).

Lighting Performance and Features

Equipped with seven distinct lighting modes, including CCT, HSI, RGBW, and gel modes, the Evoke 5C offers unparalleled flexibility in various shooting environments. Its bare output delivers an impressive 2,026 lux at 0.5 meters at 5600K, while the optional Fresnel Lens can double this output. Adding the Spot Beam Lens can further amplify the brightness by up to 5.5 times, making it suitable for high-intensity applications.

Power and Battery Options

The Evoke 5C comes with a built-in lithium-ion battery that provides up to 2.5 hours of runtime. Users can extend this to 4.7 hours using the optional Battery Grip. Additionally, the spotlight supports USB-C power input and can be used with an E27 socket adapter for extended versatility. These power options make the fixture highly adaptable for diverse shooting scenarios.

Control and Connectivity

Control options for the Evoke 5C are extensive, offering both wired and wireless solutions. The fixture supports Bluetooth connectivity via the Nanlink App, wired DMX/RDM through a USB-C adapter, and wireless LumenRadio CRMX for advanced setups. A standout feature is the NFC-enabled batch DMX configuration, which allows users to configure multiple fixtures simultaneously while powered off. This feature is invaluable for large-scale productions requiring synchronized lighting setups.
