NANLUX Matrix 2500B and 2500C: Revolutionizing Modular Lighting Arrays

Key Features and Design of the Matrix 2500 Series

The NANLUX Matrix 2500B and Matrix 2500C are advanced four-head integrated lighting fixtures designed for modular lighting arrays. Both models deliver an impressive 2500 W output within a compact magnesium alloy housing that measures 40 x 40 x 23.5 cm. These fixtures are IP66-rated, ensuring resistance to dust and water, making them suitable for challenging production environments. With a focus on durability, the robust design ensures reliable performance across various use cases.

The Matrix 2500 series introduces two distinct light engines. The Matrix 2500B features the Nebula B4 engine, offering a color temperature range of 2700K to 6500K with 80 green-magenta adjustment. Meanwhile, the Matrix 2500C employs the Nebula C8 engine, extending the range to an impressive 1000K to 20000K with 200 green-magenta control, providing unparalleled versatility for diverse lighting needs.

Advanced Lighting Modes and Performance

These fixtures bring a range of lighting modes to meet various creative requirements. The 2500B includes CCT and Effect modes, while the 2500C offers an expanded suite of modes, including HSI, HSIW, RGBW, XY Coordinates, and Gel, for a total of seven operational modes. This variety ensures that professionals have the right tools for any production scenario.

Performance metrics highlight the power of these fixtures. Equipped with the FL-MT25 Motorized Fresnel Lens, the Matrix 2500B achieves 103,000 lux at 16 degrees and 3 meters at 5600K, whereas the 2500C delivers 67,900 lux under the same conditions. These figures demonstrate the exceptional illumination capabilities of both models.

Modular Array Configurations

One of the standout features of the Matrix 2500 series is its ability to form powerful modular arrays. Each unit can be mounted on an optional four-light frame, enabling the creation of a 10,000 W array. This setup is enhanced by a four-way power distribution cable and an EXT port cable, allowing for synchronized control of all units via a single signal.

Additionally, the lamp spacing between adjacent fixtures is carefully matched to the internal lamp pitch within each head. This design produces a continuous and even beam across the entire face of the array, making these fixtures ideal for large-scale installations or truss systems requiring uniform lighting.

Efficient Cooling System

The Matrix 2500B and 2500C incorporate a front-to-rear airflow cooling system, which effectively minimizes heat buildup when used in stacked configurations. This design ensures the fixtures maintain optimal performance even during extended use in demanding environments.

Four fan modes are available to suit different production needs: Smart, Full Speed, Low Speed, and Off. The Smart mode automatically adjusts the fan speed based on ambient temperature, providing an excellent balance between heat management and noise reduction, which is particularly valuable on quiet sets.

Exceptional Build Quality and Durability

Constructed with a magnesium alloy housing, the Matrix 2500 series offers a lightweight yet durable solution for professional lighting. The IP66 rating ensures protection against water and dust, making these fixtures suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. This level of durability makes the Matrix 2500B and 2500C a reliable choice for high-pressure production environments.

The fixtures also boast exceptional color rendering capabilities, achieving a CRI and TLCI of 98/98. This ensures that the lights reproduce colors accurately, providing filmmakers and photographers with the confidence to capture true-to-life visuals with every project.

Release and Availability

The NANLUX Matrix 2500B and 2500C are set to ship in Q3 2026, following their preview at NAB 2026. With their cutting-edge features and robust design, these fixtures are poised to set a new standard in professional lighting solutions, catering to a wide range of production needs, from small studios to large-scale installations.

Whether you require versatile lighting modes, high output, or durable construction, the Matrix 2500 series delivers a comprehensive solution that meets the demands of modern cinematography and production.
